I'm Bananas for Fall

Well hello strangers! Many of you have noticed I've been decidedly absent from the blog.
So much so that I rarely get asked about it any longer. #shame
I think there's a need for mature style setters and while I've been working hard on my makeup business, I think it's about time to start talking fashion again. Because I love it. Because you love it. So expect to [ideally] see a few posts per month, both beauty+style, all original content of course.
To keep up with me on the daily, I'd encourage you to follow me on Facebook, where my life+style plays out.

I was recently asked by Banana Republic to style up a surprise piece. Which I was initially thrilled with since I love 90% of their items. Then this arrived and I was like, "How am I going to wear this? It's a short(er) dress, it's a polo collar, it's got a bit of a higher + fitted waist...man, this will be a challenge."

See none of those descriptions fit the way I dress currently. Which got me excited. To step OUT of my everyday and try up something new. And you know what, I ended up loving it. I can't wait to change this up once it gets a little colder and add tights or tall boots and a sweater.
But on this day I just grabbed my trusty Toms perf booties, a fun Stella & Dot necklace (this is the newer version of mine, and honestly, it's better. It reverses!), & some sunnies. (looks like that dress in navy is sold out, but here it is in another color way)
A feature I'll be trying to highlight as well moving forward is what I'm wearing on my face.  All products used will be available at www.musthavemascara.com unless otherwise stated This look was fun to play up the navy dress with the blues in Addiction Palette 4. A subtle smoky eye for day finished with Well To Do lipstick (my top selling shade, the nudiest of the nudes.)

40+ is still a time to experiment with fashion. Find your vibe. Change it up. It's all ok.
