Have you ever been on a mission to find a dress...then found the accessories first? It's pretty much working backwards in terms of styling, but when you find something you love, you just go with it.
I was on a mission at the Banana Republic Factory Store (BRFS) to find a cute holiday dress. Then I spotted this orange cable knit beanie and matching gloves (there was also an infinity scarf but I held back...). I love them. Soft anti-itch knit, perfect warm color...plus the gloves are iPhone friendly even though they don't scream "metallic fingers" with silver thread (they're tone on tone). Love that too.
Back to the dress hunt. I circled back to the front of the store and noticed this great mirror print with my orange right there! It's also got 3/4 sleeves, a little different from
traditional holiday dress wear, and is made of a silky stretch jersey. Hello comfortable.
What I'm Wearing //
Dress + Beanie + Gloves + Earrings + Two Longer Necklaces // Banana Republic Factory Store
Feather Necklace // old Banana Republic (ironically)
Booties // Cole Haan via Nordstrom Rack
Bag // Marc Jacobs (borrowed)
Best part about this whole look (minus shoes+bag), it rang in under $100. Seriously. BRFS is also having 50% off all dresses (minus clearance) from 12/2-12/12 in case you need one as well. You can also save 15% by signing up for their emails...and they sell a reusable tote that when used saves you another 10%!
I'm not generally a fan of outlet stores. Usually they're messy and cram-packed with styles that read cheap or that I don't care for.
I applaud BRFS, the store is clean, super organized, and merchandised like a mainline store. I'll be back.
