New Specs | Bonlook

Man, did I need new glasses. Here's what I've been working with...
I'm supposed to wear glasses for night/driving/reading/screen time...so, pretty much 1/2 my time. But I hated mine (too small, too broken, too 2003). I tended to save them for when no one but family would see me! It was time for new specs...and believe me, there are 500 places to buy glasses, in store or online these days. I tried them on at Costco (where I had my recent eye exam)...nothing special...I tried them on at Market Optical, an amazing store we've shopped at for years...but paying $350 for frames plus the lenses was not happening right now...

Enter Bonlook. I've been a fan of this online store but hadn't tried it until now. I had a certain shape I wanted, and Bonlook had several options that fit the bill, so I wanted to give them a try (& you can too with $15 off your first order).
BonLook Back to School Promotion
Here's why they are awesome ::
• refined (meaning not 1000+ choices), on-trend selections for men+women+kids (plus sunglasses!)
• easy to navigate website
• virtual try-on and amazing customer service if you need more help (you can email them a picture of you & you'll get a quick personalized video response tailored to you!)
• no-hassle money back guarantee and free carbon-neutral shipping
• super affordable (mine were $99 with prescription)
• best of all, the company was founded by two women!

I ordered single-vision Honeybadger (I mean, how could you go wrong when they're called 'honeybadger'??)

My review ::
I lovelovelove them. They fit instantly with tension springs that aren't tight on my head, no adjustment needed whatsoever. I'll be back for sure and will recommend BonLook to everyone I know.
In other news, my optometrist pretty much slammed me for wearing cheap sunnies. She said since I have family history of eye deterioration I really should be wearing polarized sunglasses every time I reach for a pair. I'm not putting down my large assortment of cheap sunglasses, but I will be better with wearing the polarized Maui Jim's I do have (even though I'm so tired of the frame shape)
Therefore, next on my list are these ::

Tee :: CAbi (exact)
Pants :: old CAbi (similar)
Sandals :: Jeffrey Campbell Ibiza (similar expensive or affordable)
Clutch :: Marc Jacobs for Tar-jay (similar)
Jewels :: Vintage, Stella & Dot, Stephen Dweck, Lois Hill

I love that I get to discover and share new companies to you all, especially those that align with my personal philosophies. And, if you have to wear glasses, they might as well be uber-cute, right?
